Year 5 learn how to make apple juice

Year 5 have had the chance to make fresh apple juice with @FruitWorksCoop

Cleaning

We started off by cleaning all of our freshly picked apples. We had two buckets to make sure they were extra clean!

After our health and safety talk about not trapping our fingers, we had to load the apple crusher with our clean apples.

Once all of the apples had been crushed, we had to load the apple press. You had to be very strong to turn the press!

We noticed our fresh apple juice is much darker than the supermarket apple juice you can buy…

We managed to make enough apple juice for everybody to try.

We can’t wait for January – we will be planting our own fruit trees! Thanks to @FruitWorksCoop
