Thank you for your support over the past week, it’s been great to see all of our children back in school:
- Attendance has been high
- Uniform is of a high standard, despite the lockdown and the challenges
- Almost everyone is arriving on time
- Mask wearing is been taken seriously by colleagues and parents
We just wanted to write with a few important pieces of information.
Pick-up and Drop-off routines
Given that support for mask wearing has been so strong, you have all taken care to avoid gathering, and colleagues have worked so hard to create a safe environment in school, we now feel that we can safely shorten the drop of and pick-up window.
You can drop off between 8:45am and 9:00am
You can pick up between 3:00pm and 3:15pm
Just a reminder, some doors have changed to smooth drop-off and collection times; this is for Year 3, 4 and 5. All others are the same.
- Year 3 and 4 – Gym foyer doors (next to the carpark)
- Year 5 – Staffroom Doors
- Year 3 – Gym Doors (at the back of the building)
- Year 4 – Gym Doors (next to the car park)
- Year 5 – Dining Hall
Just to remind you
If it is busy, please wait outside the site, or on one of the larger playground areas, maintaining social distancing, until things quieten down. Avoid gathering in groups, or queuing where possible.
At the end of the day, stand well back from entrances, so we can safely identify parents and avoid close contact at doors. Please do not hang around on the site after dropping children off.
Face masks are required at all times, and we will stop you coming onto the site if you are not wearing a face covering. This is important if we want to avoid further isolation and disruption for our children.
We have had some trouble with the main gate on Willowfield Street, we are working to fix this. We will ensure that someone is there to open the gate at the beginning and end of the day.
Please avoid stopping, dropping and turning on Willowfield Street, we have a drop off and turning area in the car park. Turning around and blocking Willowfield Street is dangerous, I will continue to supervise drop off and pick up times, to make sure that we are all safe.
This week (Week beginning 15th March):

- Hot lunches for Year 1, 2, 3 and 4,
- Hot grab bag for children in Years Reception, 5 and 6.

The Easter Break
We break up on Friday 26th March, and return on Monday 12th April
Help to shape our future, with this year’s YourVoice survey.
Every year, Co-op Academies Trust carries out an annual survey in all our academies and colleges. We survey all parents, students and staff, after which we review the results and put together action plans to make improvements where needed and do more of the things you tell us are going well.
On Friday 19th March we will be celebrating Comic Relief. In order to raise money for the charity, we would like to invite children to come to school with a crazy hair style in exchange for two silver coins. Donations can be made to your child’s class teacher or via parent pay.
Alongside this, your child will spend some time throughout the day learning about Comic Relief and all the important work that they do.
